West Seattle Weather Watch: Snow talk turns west

Latest “forecast discussion” – in-depth analysis – suggests the possible Tuesday snow is more likely on the west side of the Sound than here. Here’s the link. Cliff Mass agrees. 2:55 AM UPDATE: On the other hand – it’s snowing in the south Snohomish/north King county area right now. Fairly seriously if you look at cameras like this one at 220th and this one at 175th. (Thanks to James for the tip via Facebook.) The Weather Service has just updated the forecast to reflect this “wet snow in the … convergence zone.”

Drive to Everett was, well, challenging. Once past Lynnwood it got better. Northgate to Alderwood was a mess. Started sticking near I-5/I-90 and got worse quickly!

About an inch near Charleston @ $:00 AM. It rapidly turns to slush at the WS Freeway entrance @ 35th. The roads from WS to Everett are mostly just wet with very wet slush in places.

we’re on Gatewood Hill, the parking strip & front yard are white, but sidewalks & streets are just wet. Funny thing though, we got a “call” from Seattle Public Schools…but there was no message, no recording. Anyone else?

Sorry, comment time is over.
