Updates: Missing & found West Seattle pets

The keyboard kitty is Sacha, who escaped from his house in the 6700 block of 25th SW (map here; that’s near Home Depot) this past Thursday. He’s a 2-year-old neutered Russian Blue. If you’ve seen him, click here to e-mail his owners. We have a couple of potential pet sightings to pass along too:

Near 46th and Genesee, two dogs were spotted on Friday night, going through a neighbor’s trash. The reader who saw them tried to get close and they ran off. He says one looked like a Shepherd mix, with a red tag; the other was a dirty “tiny wiry-haired guy.” We waited to see if we heard from anyone about these dogs; we haven’t so we’re mentioning it here. Also, Tigger the cat is still missing at last report (previous post, with photo, here) but a reader just wrote to say she saw someone who looked a lot like him in the Beach Drive/Jacobsen area, so we have sent that info to Tigger’s owner. Last but not least, another reader wanted to mention a “found pet” sign spotted at 44th & Stevens: “found, small gray tabby” — If you’re looking for one, let us know and we will pass along the phone number; we avoid posting phone numbers here because some people who did so previously, with the best of intentions, received unwanted calls unrelated to what they had posted about.

Re: the trash terrors…feel free to report them if you see them again. They are often out running around and have no regard for landscaping, cars, or apparently, garbage. They must live in the area because we see them every so often after they dig in our yard and then dodge into the street. They don’t come near us and seem to think it’s a game. It’s an annoying combination of anger and worry (for their safety).

A beautiful (collarless) Siamese cat has appeared in our backyard near 21st and Genesee. He’s friendly and well-fed.

Sorry, comment time is over.
