Townhomes long after the teardowns

mtlot2.jpg

It’s been four months since we last checked on this empty lot in the 6000 block of California, north of Morgan Junction. Just discovered a couple new permit applications came in only days ago for a big grouping of townhouses and “live/work” units here — Knoll Development is seeking permits for four addresses: at 6021, at 6025, at 6029, and at 6031.

Is that that dinky little shack where at one time you could by “tapes, ect.”?

That sounds intriguing. Anything that serves as an incubator for new businesses has to be a Good Thing, IMO.

as much as some of us (who, me?) grouse about development, and change, and townhouses, etc, etc,. this will be such a boon to the Morgan St. area. Every time I drive by that empty lot I wonder why the area has to put up with an eyesore like that, sort of like the Al’s Auto/Schuck’s property on Calif. Definitely glad that it’s going to happen soon…

I’m also glad to see this kind of development ‘south’ of the Alaska Junction. Just means more customers for the wine store and Jade West :)

now..if only the Corner Inn would implode….

grrr…do you eat at Jade West? I’ve never been…would love a review :)

Does anyone know what’s going on with the building at 6001 California?
It has been empty for an awful long time, although it has had all new windows installed.
    Condos? Apartments?
    Sure a long time empty.

Sorry, comment time is over.
