West Seattle hearing tomorrow re: how your $ should be spent

Just in from the office of West Seattle’s King County Councilmember Dow Constantine: A reminder that as county leaders work on the budget for next year, you’re invited to have your say at a hearing in West Seattle tomorrow night, 7 o’clock, West Seattle High School. Among the many decisions to be made: how much will be spent on transit, including the Water Taxi and Metro buses.

I don’t know what to make of this public hearing jazz. I mean, how come the public is getting only a one day notice? Plus, how exactly is the public supposed to comment on the 2008 proposed county budget without knowing what the proposals are?

I followed the link to Dow’s online newsletter, and its breaking news of the meeting says nothing on how members of the public can find a copy of the Rons Sims proposals on which we, the public, are urged to comment tomorrow night at WSHS.

Forest, sorry, we absolutely should have added budget links to this post. There are copious links available from this page on the county website.

Sorry, comment time is over.
