Have you seen Hugo?

Haven’t run a lost-pet post in a while, but Hugo’s disappearance is an unusual case. His owners say housekeepers accidentally let him out today at their Upper Fauntleroy home, but he’s a fast runner and could be anywhere by now. No collar. He’s a “big whippet that looks like a greyhound,” as his heartbroken owners describe him, and they say he’s under treatment for cancer. If you see him, call April at 206-351-9756 or John at 206-954-2694. 8:42 PM UPDATE: Note in the comments says Hugo’s been found.

The wandering whippet is no more — Hugo is found, home and drinking much water. During the course of the day he was spotted at the Fauntleroy ferry docks, all around Lincoln Park, Holden and 35th and finally collected in good shape at 39th and Thistle.

    Thanks much!!

Fabulous, my pup and tried to catch him on lower Trenton around 5:30, but he used his whippet speed to evade.

Huge, Huge THANKS to all of the wonderful people today who tried to catch and who helped us find our wonderful Huge whippet. I must have passed out 200 business cards in our neighborhood and in Lincoln Park. Thanks to all who spotted him and took the time to call. Thanks especially to the man and his daughter who spotted him on 39th less than an hour ago. I was so afraid of what the coyotes might do to him tonight. And WOW was Hugo happy to be found. I feel like I just won a million dollars. I’m so grateful. This is such a great community. I love you people.

We’re so glad to hear he came home safe and sound. We have a greyhound, she’s only escaped once and headed straight for 35th. It’s a very scary thought because they can, of course, out run you. Congratultions on the safe homecoming.

Hugo, dude, don’t scare me like that. We hounds have to stick together. Glad you’re home safe and sound!

Sorry, comment time is over.
