What better time than a sunny day — on the brink of “official” summer — to contemplate “the region’s hidden ice-cream shops” — that’s what the UW Daily does in this article, with Husky Deli featured prominently.
I love Husky. Not only is the ice cream delicious, but so is the whole culture. I can’t count how many times I have had neighborly chats on the chairs out front on a summer evening; or just sat and enjoyed the kids! Husky is part of what makes WS a community.
Good article. Interesting that they don’t mention that their coverboy there is Jack’s son. On another note, looks like I’ll have to head to Wallingford to determine if their level of tea-geekiness satisfies me. The West Seattle (T)ea Gallery is great, but it’s nice to have options.
