I\'m interested in possibly starting my daughter in piano lessons. Can the community share some suggestions for either a private teacher with reasonable rates, or a \"piano/music school\" with lessons?
We don\'t have a piano in our home, but hope to in the very near future. I studied classical music for ten years while growing up, and they provided some of the best memories of my youth.
We haven\'t used them but re: music school, here\'s one - I contacted them via e-mail some time back while looking around for lessons on another instrument and they responded promptly:

There is a teacher at Lowman Beach :)--my daughter\'s friends take lessons there and love her. Anyone know who that is?

I\'m not familiar with piano teachers here in WS. But, I\'m wondering if you might be interested in renting a baby grand to test drive for a bit while your daughter begins lessons.

I\'d second contacting Westside Music Academy. I called them about the process for getting young kids in lessons and they were very realistic, music-focused and had great advice on when to start. They also sponsor local events!
