West Seattle Wing Dome sets opening date: Tuesday, October 12

Just got the word from marketing director Nicole Aly: The West Seattle Wing Dome, in The Junction, will open next Tuesday, October 12th. Opening date will be regular hours – 11 am to 10 pm. “We’re excited,” Nicole tells WSB.

As we showed you in our sneak-peek tour inside the restaurant space (which used to be part of neighboring CAPERS) last month, with Nicole and manager Andy Pattalochi showing us around, this is the first Wing Dome to have a patio and fire pit, and she says that area will be open from the start.

It’s been a little over a year since first word the Wing Dome was in talks for the West Seattle location; their other restaurants are in the metro area, and owner Consolidated Restaurants is Seattle-based. 4:50 PM UPDATE: Nicole called with one postscript – the patio/fire pit will be delayed a week or so.

Is there a grain of salt involved? I’m tired of waiting…

    • WSB October 6, 2010 (3:25 pm)

No grain. This is straight from the source, and they waited for final inspection results before announcing – I’d checked in with them each of the past few days, and they thought this would be the date, but didn’t want to say anything publicly until those inspections were passed and complete, which now they are – TR

Is that an arsenal of tools they will use on you if you don’t buy a beer with their meal?

Chicago they have 9 TV’s you’ll be fine with your wings and sports. Now go support Andy and the business and drink, eat and “ARE YA READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?”

Has anyone confirmed with them that they are going to show UFC pay-per-views at any point? It’d be really nice to have a location in WS so I don’t have to travel so far (and can stumble home).

Howabout some NHL action on those TV’s????

  • odroku October 8, 2010 (12:19 pm)

Oh, if they had NHL games, wings and beer in one location…oh man….

    • WSB October 8, 2010 (12:24 pm)

During our preview tour a few weeks ago, they mentioned each TV would have its own cable box, so multiple sporting events would be possible. Hockey fans, there ya go. Or lacrosse, or horse racing, or whatever – general manager Andy told us ‘as long as it’s sports’ …

    AWWW Heck!!!!
I’m away for business in the Gulf of Mexico off New Orleans and I won’t be back for a week!!
Guess I’ll just have to calm my taste buds until then!
I need to take my 11 year old, his goal is to get his name up on the “Wall of Flame”
After seeing him eat Hooters “Three Mile Island” with 911 as the dipping sauce I have no doubt he’ll get up on it.

I look forward to checking them out on a Monday, when the wings are .59/ea (with purchase of a beverage) all day. Otherwise, their pricing seems way out of whack for a wing shack.

I had lunch there today. . . I’m not a particularly big eater, and I left hungry. I had the five-piece wing lunch w/salad. Wing sections were quite small, dry, and not much meat on them. The sauce (teriyaki sesame) was quite good, and the salad was fine, but I spent $12 (with soda and tip) for a rather meager lunch. A hungry person is going to be spending a lot of money there. Burgers are probably a better deal. Would have liked to see some side dishes other than green salad or fires – like potato salad, bakes beans, slaw, etc. Also eating saucy wings was very messy, so some moistened hand wipes would have been appreciated. Very friendly staff.

Sorry, comment time is over.
