West Seattle Crime Watch: Stolen car found nearby – on its side

David Rosen from SlickPix Photography shared that photo of an SUV found tipped on its side, empty, just after 2 am today at 46th/Brandon (map). Police now confirm that was a case of car theft – Southwest Precinct Lt. Norm James tells WSB the vehicle was stolen from the same block where it tipped after hitting a parked car. He adds, “A male suspect wearing black was seen fleeing on foot after the accident to a waiting white van.”

I know of two cars prowled last night, ours and friends on the next block. Area was 5600 and 5500 block of 42nd Ave SW. We reported our car break in to the police.

well that is that is what I was lessoning on the radio, just passing it on

I’m sure LMA is right. If the demand for cars is down, then that applies to all cars. New cars, used cars, stolen cars… whatever. — If car theft rings aren’t able to turn over cars, then they aren’t going to be paying as much for them, or maybe even taking them at all.

Thieves aren’t stupid, they know where the money’s at, and they’re not going to risk themselves on something that won’t pay

Wait… I don’t get it. LMA doesn’t make any sense – what is lessonen or lessoning and car thrift? Car thrift sounds like cheap or inexpensive cars to me.

Sorry, comment time is over.
