Where is the after tax party?

every year i tell myself this year will be different…

every year i find myself on the eve of deadline frantically gathering papers and booting up turbotax.

this year i could be having a pina colada on some beach somewhere on what i hope will be our refund by now… if only…

this year i don’t even know where that 11:59 PM drop off site is:(

Maybe i will just do it online…

if the computer doesn’t fail..

If the networks don’t clog…

I want that pina colada now!

Oh well… maybe an extension?

i will surface some time tomorrow looking for that one place where all of west seattle gathers to eat sugar.. drink alcohol or caffeine and make promises we will all break next year.

Just cuz I feel like being smacked, I had all 3 taxes for my family done the first week of Feb. And my sugar laden, coffee, alcohol, stupor could not feel better.

I’ll toast to after taxes at the Capers gathering Friday night and the Admiral Pub event Saturday night. Since we just became a business last fall, I am doing taxes that include the first part of businesshood as well as the last part of employeehood, plus the first quarter “estimated taxes” that we are supposed to pay for this year by the same deadline. Junior Member of the Team thinks it’s so funny that he keeps popping up in here with the Beatles’ “Tax Man” song on his iPod. — TR

perhaps i should crank up tax man and park outside JT’s front door with the windows open ;=>

if only that would help.

i already plan to be at capers on friday.. hopefully with hubby in tow:)

in the meantime, procrastination isn’t helping….

they had me at the breadsticks.. fresh from the oven…

and it got better after that.

so often when dinner is over and we are presented with the bill, we feel regret.. not this time.

They prepared food i couldn’t have prepared for myself.. and they did it perfectly.

Ok, the tables are too close together… and some of the imitation plantings were literally in your face.. the restroom is a tripping hazard.. and the service is casual…

But… they care about their food and i saw more than one waitress laugh with customers…

they genuinely want you to have a great meal and a great time.

I am firmly in the rave category on this one.

Thanks for leading me there. it would have been worth the wait…
