We need about 1.5 cords of firewood that is dry, split and delivered to our West Seattle home. We’ve been getting it from a guy in Eastern WA, which costs a small fortune. Any referrals to someone closer would be much appreciated.

hey Pap Lover, Until a few days ago I had never even contemplated the purchase of firewood but I happened to see a poster and now I’m more aware. Did you know that there is a movement/campaign to get folks to buy it where they burn it? Apparently firewood is a common method of spreading insects and disease. I am NOT being judgmental or telling you what to do – just making you aware of something I was oblivious to not long ago. Here’s a link to let you know I’m not crazy. http://www.invasivespecies.wa.gov/council_projects/firewood.shtml

Just sharing. I hope you find some good wood for a decent price.

You might try http://www.blwfirewood.com. Many arborists also sell firewood so you could do some research from that angle.
