    $10/hour to start, plus pay bumps for goals achieved. 2-week training period. No experience necessary.  Must be outgoing, organized, friendly and enjoy helping others. Basic computer knowledge needed, especially Microsoft Word/Pages for Mac and Quick Books. The successful candidate will be managing the intake and exit process of acupuncture and nutrition patients including calculating how many supplements are needed to last a patient until their next visit (basic math proficiency required). Duties include answering phones, reminder calls, calling and scheduling patients, responding promptly to patient inquiries via phone and email, occasional health insurance verification, letter-writing, light office and restroom tidy-up, cleaning treatment rooms after each patient, daily laundry, trash and recycling, maintaining plants, internet research, maintaining inventory of supplements and herbs, placing book and supplement orders, medical chart maintenance and filing, literature rack organization, scanning, faxing, pulling a variety of food supplements and Chinese medicinals for patients, charting health care notes, occasionally helping with moxibustion (warming acupuncture points).

    Duties also include basic marketing activities such as helping with weekly e-mail tips, monthly newsletters, website/blog updates, educating on basic questions about acupuncture and nutrition, taking weights, and running simple tests. We are looking for someone with the ability to keep track of patients who fall off their program and to reconnect with them to have them return to the office. Must be comfortable educating patients on office policies including the fragrance-free, shoe free, and cell phone free environment policies. Must be comfortable working with occasional children at the clinic. Attention to detail is a must, as is an attitude of willingness and flexibility to take on multifaceted tasks and projects as directed by the owner/practitioner.

    This is a fragrance-free (with the exception of moxa), professional health care office. Work hours of approximately 30 hours per week within the hours of 9:15-6:15 Tuesday and Thursday, 9:15-3:15 Monday, and 8:00-3:00 Friday with flexible lunch hours and occasional 7-9pm evening hours for 3 or 4 seminars each month. Training may include a Wednesday or Saturday.
