WSBKeymasterIn a FB conversation with Rebecca at High Point Community Center, after everybody reached out to make that toy drive donation goal happen, it turns out that TEENS still need items, practical ones as well as fun, and they have limited donation windows now since the distribution is Monday afternoon. If anybody can help with this, please see the story just published to our front page:
https://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=25221
Donation windows are noon-2 pm Sunday and noon Monday.

inactiveMemberGreat idea HuntergG !
RiteAid on Caifornia and Walgren’s on 35th are just a few blocks from the HP Community Ctr. EZ for folks to swing by and pickup girlie teen stuff listed on the post.
Also Big5 Westwood has athetic wear and tshirts and sports balls reasonably priced.
Oh, and the WV shoe store(?) has inexpensive shoes for teenage tastes.
All within five minutes of the Comm. Ctr.
Happy Holidays all!

GenHillOneParticipantI think you’re right on with the gift card idea. It’s my experience that teens tend to get forgotten when people think of “children’s causes” – they’re young enough to want to be included and old enough to appreciate the ability to shop for themselves. Westwood Village has options to cover a lot of the wishlist on the homepage too. Good call!
