I’ve never been much of a sports fan, but there’s no denying the passion that Dave had for the M’s, and baseball in general, and he will be missed.

sam-cParticipantwe will definitely miss him, and have loved listening to him on the radio.
he was definitely a pro in bringing life to the game, and I don’t really know what else to say.
so sad right now.

johnnyblegsMemberHe was someone who truly loved baseball. Spent many nights staying up late, curled up in bed listening to him call the game. A lot of passion in his voice. Part of my childhood died today with him.

rockergirl5678ParticipantDefinitely a voice I will always remember. It will be very strange to not hear him calling the games anymore. Rest in peace Dave, you will be missed by so many.

JayDeeParticipantFly fly away Dave…you will sorely be missed by M’s fans. In 2001 I walked through West Seattle, listening in one ear to the radio, passing from block to block only to pickup the echo from another Mariner’s fan in the area tuned into the same game in the other ear.

Baseball is one of the few sports one can listen to on the radio and Dave was one of the reasons it was enjoyable to do so. I’ll put the rye bread and mustard away.
