redblackParticipantno, jan, he didn’t. house chucked a grenade through a doorway and then insisted he didn’t want to talk about it or its effects. but he was more than happy to talk about the reactions to the live grenade.

bluebirdMemberRough crowd. So much hostility. Right/wrong, agree/disagree, TheHouse has talked about an opinion. The rest of you are all talking about TheHouse. Very welcoming environment for dissenting opinions.

JanSParticipantand history repeats itself :)
bluebird..I would give the OP the benefit of the doubt if he didn’t bring up how people are dressed…you don’t have to dress a certain way to get an EBT card. That’s a bias on his part. I would give him the benefit of the doubt if he said what “non essential” things they were buying. Non essential to him? Maybe not to them…and if allowed on an EBT card, perfectly legal. Wads of cash? How does he know how much it was? It could have been about 15 bucks in 1’s all rolled together..looks like a lot, but isn’t. And for this he wants them to kiss his arse? Truly? He can believe all he wants about what should and shouldn’t be..but..EBT cards are regulated, and you can only purchase foodstuffs on them…even candy. If he thinks this is wrong, he needs to work with the higher powers to get the rules changed. But he just comes on here with generalizations about someone, and we’re supposed to agree? No way! Not the first time he’s done this, won’t be the last. But..notice..we’re the insane ones. I see it differently. We’re more enlightened..and won’t put up with it…hence, the backlash. Sorry you think it’s so rough in here. It really isn’t.

bluebirdMemberPersonally, I think he has a point worth discussing. Abuse of the “system.” Plenty of places to go on that topic. I would imagine everyone would like to see that eliminated, where possible. The OP began sarcastically which can be off-putting to many, but why not discuss the larger point rather than the identity and dislike of the OP?
I read. Many rants on here could go unsaid, if you were to ask me. But a poorly chosen wording about something as trivial as a restaurant you hate, still produces a discussion on that restaurant, not the OP. He/she is being called all kinds of names. Least of which, a troll. And told to get off of here. I still say that’s pretty hostile.

JanSParticipantand yu have no problem with him calling others thugs..or the other posters on here being caled insane I realize that this is not tit for tat…but we have learned where these discussions regarding this particular person goes. They always end up the same. And…that’s sad. I am more than willing to discuss something that has some substance. I just feel that the OP didn’t present a case…and that he’s wrong. I’m allowed to feel that way. No one has to agree with him, and treat him with kid gloves.
And..if you read back, people did talk about what his “rant” was about.

bluebirdMemberI can’t make you understand the difference between him saying someone in the universe dressed like a thug vs people in this forum specifically calling the OP names. But an argument was not my intent. An observation from the outside looking in, is all.

Meantime, for multiple reasons, this thread is now closed. Let me know who won the over-under on how long that would take.
