Do you know what every woman loves when she’s walking home from the end of a really long week? A big burly man in a jenky brown and white truck who smoothly rolls by and barks at her like a dog. Gets us every time. I’m surprised women weren’t hanging off of your POS truck at the strong manly allure you possess. I’m sure your mother would burst at the seams with pride to know she raised her darling boy to treat women with such dignity and respect.

Even though your childish attempts at letting me know how you physically felt about me and my appearance without being a respectable human being about it, you should know it only made me feel bad for you and better about myself and the amazing people in my life who know how to treat people with respect.

Next time, keep your waste of space, negative feelings to yourself.

Ugh, I hate stuff like that.

Apparently I am SO HOT when I go running, too, because that’s when it seems to happen the most.

I just keep thinking “men – you can’t live with ’em, and you can’t live with ’em” ! :D

when they do stuff like that, it just sets my heart all atwitter, and , damn, if I don’t fall in love all over again…

    NOT !

What a jerk. I hate stuff like that. Do they think women find that sort of thing attractive or funny because we really don’t! It is harassment, plain and simple.

Ladies, if you’re going to wear pajamas with “juicy” or “pink” on your buttocks then I’m going to look twice. Yoga pants, well those just aren’t PG-13 when you can see every little curve, front and back. Albeit the guy barking to the OP, that’s a big strange. But take most of these things as a compliment.

So trim, what if I’m wearing big ol’ oversized shlumpy sweat pants? Can I be out in public without getting personal remarks on my sexual habits then?

I’d say it depends on how attractive your face and not your assets are. I can tell you for sure that the remarks would lessen considerably. But hey, I’m right there with you, whenever I go to the beach in my speedo I get hit on all the time.

Well, based on twenty-six years of this sort of thing (and seriously, if you think hitting on a thirteen-year-old is appropriate, we have nothing more to discuss here), I can tell you that you are incorrect.

Trim….get over it…this has nothing to do with how attractive or unattractive a woman is, or what she is wearing, whether it’s yoga pants or a sack. It has to do with the attitudes of some men who think it’s OK to cat call, demean, disrespect women.

Oh, and a guy wearing a speedo should only do so in the privacy of his home…that’s just a given…

    she was asking for it..

    the universal justification for rape

    trim.. not saying you rape

but you sure did justify abuse

I do not believe hitting on a thirteen year old to be appropriate, but also I’m not talking about thirteen year olds… Jans, I’m afraid that most of the time it is due to how attractive a woman is in the eyes of the beholder. I did not say that it was “ok” to catcall, dogcall, or whatever call out to anyone. Job, I mentioned nothing of “she was asking for it” please re-read my posts slower. Note, I do not justify abuse, but expect a second glance or a normal flirt when wearing certain articles of clothing. You guys really do jump on people here like sharks for speaking what happens.

edit: I’m afraid i mistook all of your ages, 20+ year olds still wear pajamas/pants with words on their pants.

    trim..

when you mention what a woman is wearing as justification for giving her unwanted attention..

you are saying she is asking for it…

a normal flirt starts with a smile..

and only expands if a woman smiles back

    btw.. just for the record

for the most part it’s my grand-daughters who are the recipients of unwanted male attention..

but at nearly 65 and a good 50 lbs over my fighting weight.. i too was the recipient of some unwanted male attention recently

    and i wouldn’t call the way i dress sexy…

the truth is that when men depict themselves as unable to control themselves when they see a woman they desire..

they do themselves a great disservice..

and.. they almost guarantee the only one they will impress with their actions is their male buddies..

come on guys.. you can do better than that

You look, notice, and sometimes stare at people at any time. Male or female it doesn’t matter. You noticed someone with a booger hanging out of their nose you may tend to stare or look twice. Sure it can be unwanted; however it happens. I’m not saying that someone whomever is asking for it. I was originally commenting on that it IS going to happen and happens more in frequency wearing/doing a certain thing. I’ve mentioned nothing like the OP mentioned of “dog barking, re-read 2nd post I said “a normal flirt”. It’s just like when for example a high school student that’s a male wears a pink shirt.

Whether or not he wants the attention he’s going to get it. For your second post, everyone has someone whose attracted to them. Also I don’t disagree with what you have said, not all men depict themselves with the “dog barking”. A large large portion of women of younger age however do fall for what silly antics like that however, not “dog barking” but what you would consider along the lines within a few degrees.

trim, you need to reread Jan’s post #12.

You’re the one that introduced a female runner’s appearance into the discussion, both physical appearance and the clothing being worn, and then you act all surprised when your comments are challenged?

This is a sincere question: What does it mean when a man “barks” at a woman? Is it a negative appraisal, as the OP seems to indicate, or is it an expression of appreciation/attraction, as some of the other comments indicate? Or can the meaning vary? If so, how is one to know?

they are saying that the woman they are barking at is a bitch

and that they are a dog

it doesn’t say much about their view of the world… does it?

    who let the dogs out?

    JoB…thanks for clarifying. Really.

Trim, you’re obviously a troll and though no better than the truck driver, I refuse to play your game.

I don’t need the internet or random strangers to validify me in any form. I hold myself in confidence knowing I am smart, successful, and beautiful. I only surround myself with those who know me as I am and don’t judge me for what I am or what I am not.
