The laurel bush on Glenn Way near Genesee has been completely covering the sidewalk for decades! It’s getting worse. No way can a wheelchair navigate this area.

I’ve reported it a few times over the years but nothing is ever done.

    Anyone know why?

Who have you reported it to? I would tty going to ‘find it fix it’ at Seattle.gov. Ive had luck with that avenue for city help.

Good luck with any help from the municipality.

It has been my experience they are far more interested in generating revenue through parking tickets then trying to help any other form of mobility.

I have requested my neighbor (in person) to manage their overgrown vermin infested greenery to no avail. I’ve used the “find it fix it” app to no resolution.

So we just deal with an unkempt green space adjacent to our property.

I’ve reported it twice through find it fix it it just gets closed immediately. I also reported it to the appropriate office before the app existed.

I’m not familiar with the area/property but I don’t think the City plants Laurel (not positive). I think it’s the property owners Laurel bush and if so you should ask them or mail a letter to them about your concerns.
