Carla MarieMemberCan anyone out there recommend a good nail salon in West Seattle? What I am really looking for is anyone who can speak and most importantly understand English. Don’t get me wrong, I am not in any way predjudice! I moved here a year ago and have not had much luck in the neighborhood. All salons have a full list of products offered, but most seem to only know one thing. Even when you point out what you want on the sign the communication is still a barrier. I end up not getting the service I wanted, but somehow get charged the higher price for what I asked for. It’s frustrating and I’ve had this experience at 4 salons now. The neighborhood help would be very much appreciated!! Thank you in advance :)

UrbanBuildMemberI don’t get my nails done because, well, I’m a guy but my fiance’ loves Christina at Admiral Nails, on Admiral at California. If you go tell her Mike and Stephany say Hello!

mommymParticipantI read from another post that Beauty Nails on California was a good place – and it is. They do really good, quick work. There is still a language barrier so you can’t really carry on a full conversation but you can tell them what you want and they do it no problem. Small shop though so sometimes a wait.

KaylaMemberI have been going to Nail Time for years. Every once in a while I look for a less expensive place. I find them but they never do the job as well as Samantha and her crew. Tell her Kayla sent you.

remjonesParticipantI have been going to Lien at the Seattle Style Salon for a while now and she is great. They are at the corner of Webster and 35th across from Coffee at the Heights. Her number is 206.938.2578. Best place I’ve been in ages! I also get my hair done at this salon by Andrea. Highly recommend her as well :)

BBGuestMemberMy nails are just awful so I decided to get the form type full set. I didn’t want long nails, just enough to have something that didn’t peel and break like my own. I wanted a sanitary environment where I could breathe (oh my goodness, some of those salons smell just awful). I went to Barb (mentioned above) and she was delightful and I felt she really understood her craft. I now have what looks like totally natural nails. They are a little sore but I think that is to be expected. Came home and spray painted so now I wonder what I use to get the paint off! I feel like I can call her anytime and language is no barrier at all. I certainly recommend her.

BBGuestMemberI love having nails again. The little bit of soreness was gone by the next day. I am hooked! I couldn’t be happier.
