hoffanimalParticipantHi all, I’ve got water coming into my basement. It’s a reoccurring issue that I have ignored for too long. I need a recommendation for a contractor who installs sump pumps or does other work related to indoor water problems. Thanks!

DianaParticipantO’Neill Plumbing. They installed one for me, did a great job, and it solved the problem. They are also WSB sponsors, so that’s good!

cherableParticipant932-5021 Fischer Plumbing handles all my rental plumbing needs. Never had a problem with them.

cherableParticipantP.S.
You might look into basement water proofing first before getting a pump. It might just need some caulk. Try checking Angies List.

WS PersonParticipantPermaDry did work for us after continual water in basement. We have Never had water since. I highly recommend them!

KBearParticipantIf you haven’t already, make sure your gutters are working properly and draining well away from the house. Are there any areas where the ground slopes toward your foundation? Anything you can do to keep water away from your foundation will be cheaper and probably more effective than pumps or sealants.

hoffanimalParticipantThanks for all the suggestions. I’ve done all the easy stuff (taken care of outside drainage and tried sealing inside). I got an estimate from Wu construction for a sump pump installation. It was less than I thought it would be. I might look into getting a few other estimates from the outfits mentioned here. I know all these guys are busy now!

wraye1ParticipantWolfie – Can I ask how much (ball park)? What work did you have done?
