DBPMemberDon’t ask me how that happened.

DBPMemberCan you imagine what an emotional roller-coaster ride this would be for a dog, living with someone who thinks he’s the next Rod McKuen?
Whew! It’s a good thing for cats that they’re so cool about everything.
Sometimes I wonder how they do it, though. How do they manage to just sit around, day after day, pretending like there’s nothing really special going on here?

JoBParticipantflowers on your doorstep are a may day tradition i would like to see return.
i remember what fun we had as a child picking wildflower bouquets, wrapping them in tissue and ribbons, ringing the doorbell, leaving the flowers on the step and running to hide behind a bush when the elderly ladies in our neighborhood answered the door.
i think we brightened their day and i know their graciousness brightened ours.

JanSParticipantAbyssinians :) …well, I’m just prejudiced…my late kitty, Leo, was a purebred Abby…love the breed :)

shed22ParticipantJanS, I miss seeing Leo’s nobility. And those ears!! :)

SueParticipantIf they made kitty therapists, mine would be the first in line. :)
May 1, 2013 at 3:48 pm #788423
JoBParticipantkitties are therapists .. for humans

PangolinPieParticipantAre we showing kittehs? Here’s my girl, Roxy:
She’s a little brat, a year-old calico with an attitude. :)
May 1, 2013 at 4:50 pm #788425
PangolinPieParticipantWow, sorry those are so large! Matches her personality though.
May 1, 2013 at 7:07 pm #788426
CaitParticipantShe’s absolutely beautiful! Our most beautiful cat is also a little brat. :)
May 1, 2013 at 7:54 pm #788427
PangolinPieParticipantI keep hearing that all calicos are bratty. She’s not too bad except when she forgets that we don’t get up at 5 am on weekends.

miwsParticipantMay 1, 2013 at 8:02 pm #788429
PangolinPieParticipantHahah, thanks miws. But really, get between her and the squishy cat food and you’d see just what a little brat she can be! :D
(I love her tiny mustachio, though; I almost named her “Frida.”)

anonymeParticipantJan, I used to have an Abby. He was a nut case, but we were very bonded. However, I’ve never had a bond with feline or human that was closer than the one I had with my recently deceased Tux. What a brilliant, beautiful girl she was.
Funny, I always thought calicos were sweet and gentle. Pie, yours is a beauty. She’s just full of youthful exuberance.
May 1, 2013 at 11:10 pm #788431
PangolinPieParticipantThanks Anonyme…and sorry for your loss. I know how hard that is with any pet, and sometimes a really special one comes into your life. To lose a best friend is the very hardest thing.

GinaParticipantIt has been a year and a half, and I have finally been able to put Ollie’s ashes (the kitty in my avatar) in the the garden. Cat sitting for family members that travel frequently is enough for now.
