I had Lasik done by him over a year ago and have never had issues. He was great before, during and after. He is also seasoned. From what I remember him telling me, other eye docs come to him for Lasik. I highly recommend at least checking him out.

amlParticipantI had Lasik done about ten years ago in Bellevue, but I can’t recall the doctor (sorry!).. But as far as my experience goes, it was seriously the best money I ever spent. I like to do outdoorsy things and not having to worry about contacts or glasses when camping or swimming made life so much easier. Keep in mind your eyes still age as usual and I now find myself needing reading glasses in my late 40’s. But I would do it again in a heartbeat.

kayoParticipantMy husband had LASIK done about 7 years ago. He went with a highly rated physician in Bellevue for the procedure. He does not regret the procedure, but there are a couple things you should think about. Recovery…my husband had 20/15 vision immediately after the procedure which was great, but he also had some blurring and halos for a while. This really freaked him out at first despite the reassurance from his doctor that this would improve (and, of course, it did with time). He was a little depressed at first thinking he’d made a bad decision. Also, my husband had amazing visual acuity WITH his glasses before the procedure. After the procedure, his dominant eye had slightly weaker vision than his non-dominant eye. This drove him crazy to the point that he went back in for a touch up on that eye after 6 months. The “touch up” made things much better. In the long run he is really glad he did it after almost 30 years of coke bottle glasses, but there was an adjustment period. It could be that he is particularly visual and hyper aware of changes in his vision, but just want you to be aware of the potential for this type of experience. Find a really good doctor and ask a lot of questions.

dylanhMemberI went to Bellevue Lasik Institute about 10 years ago. Has been great ever since. I did the PSK since I was training to be a firefighter. My sister also went there and did standard lasik with great results too. If ya go, give them my name Dylan Hayes!
