Ken SMemberOK – I know I can go to any of a number of bars in W. Seattle and elsewhere to watch World Cup soccer games. And if folks have favorites in W. Seattle, please do list ’em.
But … where’s a good place to watch with a group on a decent-sized high-def screen that kids can go to? I’m thinking … Zeke’s? Abbondanza? Anywhere else?

sam-cParticipantyes- it would be cool if there is something in WS like the Phinney Neighborhood Center:

WSBKeymasterWe’re working on a full list. Zeeks did tell us they’ll be showing it. Abbondanza, I’d heard from someone, and Prost has long been saying that they will show all Germany and/or US games. More to come. Wow, that Phinney event is mondo. Must have taken someone all year to organize that.

miwsParticipantYes, Abbondanza has had a list of the games in their front window for the last several days.
IIRC, they’ll be serving coffee and OJ and I believe at least one other thing (all of which would have to be paid for), but customers can bring their own food.
Don’t quote me on the above, it’s been a few days since I read the note in the window.

Ken SMemberOh yeah, kids can come into Prost – I forgot about that! Looking forward to the ‘full list’ from WSB.
I’ll be out of town for most of the group stages, but will be amped to watch the knock-out rounds with my daughter and an excited crowd.

acbParticipantAnglina’s is also open for the 7am games and serving a limited breakfast. Kids welcome. I am so excited for the games and can’t to enjoy some great games with my little kid and the world cup crowd!

acbParticipantFound another world cup event that I thought people might like to know about: International Sustainability Institute and Feet First are showing games on a 100″ tv in Nord Alley near Pioneer Square.

WSBKeymasterIt’ll be up soon – info’s been gathered and in the final stages of processing. It’s high priority so as soon as that version’s in, we’ll get it on the main page (and I will add the link here too for those who see the Forums first) … thanks!
