Tired of dealing with more than one patient all the time? Private home care opportunity available. Part-time health care assistant required immediately for a single non-mobile patient, an elderly female with dementia who needs total care in West Seattle. Age 85, weight ~125 lbs, height 4’10, unable to communicate verbally most of the time.
Duties: Helping my father and I with dressing, feeding, transfer to commode, cleaning, light housekeeping (sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, laundry), meal preparation and companionship. Must be able to manually transfer patient from bed to commode once a day, other transfers made with hoyer lift.
Hours: 10:30am to 5:30pm, 2 to 3 days/week, occasionally more, tbd.
Compensation: depends on experience
A cheerful disposition and a good sense of humor are essential. Previous experience with dementia patients preferred. CNA, CPR and First Aid certifications major pluses. Valid WA State ID, no criminal history, and dependable transportation please.
