JoBParticipantThanks Celeste 17 for arranging a great party.
Today about 25-30 people and two dogs attended the WSB Forum Port Luck at Als Brew Pub over a period of 4 hours.
we had some great food… i have to confess i had to have thirds to have a little of everything… and it was all good enough that you wanted to have at least a taste of everything… in fact, you wanted seconds…
except maybe… the boiled peanut ice cream. I didn’t think full tilt could make an ice cream flavor i wouldn’t love… but that one came close:)
i guess you just have to love boiled peanuts to truly appreciate it.
And we did good too..
most of us favored the puppy mill puppies over the street kids struggling to get an education… the pups scored about a dozen full bags… Seattle Educational access got some backpacks and cash.. and i think soclwrkrinmotn’s families in need got some gift card/cash donations.
But the best part of the afternoon was the easy conversation.. even though some of us had never met.. we have been talking to one another for a long time… i don’t think there were many awkward silences one we said hello…
Big Al’s was a great place to meet. They treated us really well and their upstairs is a really comfortable lounge area complete with dart boards…
did i forget to mention their great beer? that tasting room smells really really good…
I want to do this again… it was great fun!
but right now i need to go nap off my food coma:(

JanSParticipantyes, it was great seeing old friends, and meeting new ones.
Cruiser, you’ll just have to expose yourself another time – lol…
Great food, good conversation, wonderful people…what more could one ask for on a rainy Sunday afternoon…
lastly…thank you Celeste for setting this up. I , for one, can’t wait for the next one :)

WSBKeymasterIf anybody got pix of the donated items, please let us know, I may have a “weekend wrapup” coming up later tonight, and it’s certainly been a weekend full of giving.
