motherkittenParticipantEric just raised the canopy and removed dead growth from an enormous over 100 year old fir and cedar in the front yard of my new West Seattle home. His work is truly skilled. The trees and consequently my home look beautiful. You can reach him at (206) 384-1008

RadMamParticipantHmmm…We used this guy as well. He was totally scattered and never completed the job. Showed up late, right before the sun was setting and didn’t do what we planned. We still have an over grown apple tree and maples that overhang the sidewalk. Beware! I think he gets overwhelmed and overcommits then under delivers.

motherkittenParticipantYou know. It turns out the same thing happened to me. He really did do a good job on my tree. But there were some details he agreed to and never attended to. It is taking me a lot of time and energy to straighten out the mess he left. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried to remove my good review but I don’t know how- any one know how to do that?

seaopgalParticipantThis reminds me of what my mother used to say about me: “There once was a girl who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very, very good, but when she was bad she was horrid.”

motherkittenParticipantMy mother said the very same thing to me. So now here I am old and wise and still worried about being horrid. Eric kept telling me how good he was and how everyone liked him except people who were not satisfied with anything. I did not want to be one of those horrid people. So i ended up a Svengalied person?

seaopgalParticipantI agree you are wise to identify the issue, motherkitten. We often let ourselves be taken advantage of for not wanting to be thought a whiner or demander. Sounds to me like Eric has perfected a preemptive defense against complaints. At least he did a good job on your tree, and your rave-rant will alert others.

motherkittenParticipantI appreciate your wisdom and warmth Seopgal. I will look for you on the beach. West Seattle is a small town.

CinebelleParticipantErik is truly an artist, who cares about the trees, the health of the whole plant ecosystem of your property — and enhancing views in a responsible way. He started work this summer at my next-door neighbor’s, and by early this fall he had worked on 7 of us neighbors’ trees. We are all uniformly delighted with the results.
He’s a great person, with a big heart. He doesn’t always respond quickly, or adhere to a typical regular schedule. But if you work with him I know you will get wonderful results. We are really thrilled to have our views back, but also to have our trees healthy and pruned responsibly so they can live many more decades.
