it’s still there. The “mods”, as you call them, are the editors of the forum, and they don’t delete for the hell of it. If you’re not seeing it, did you put anyone on “ignore”? If they are the last person to post, you won’t see the thread because you ignored them. If you didn’t do that, I would suggest you check your profile to see if it happened by accident

WSBKeymasterNothing was “deleted” and nothing “re-appeared.” Nothing has even been flagged for review lately. (I hope that means people are behaving.)
Don’t know what your problem with finding it was, but it had nothing to do with us. Our known bugs include the “if you ignore someone, a thread will disappear if they’re the most recent commenter” thing that Jan mentioned, plus occasional sign-in trouble and registration trouble, also, a post might wind up in the spam filter on occasion for reasons unknown (Akismet has its flaws), but not ‘vanishing threads.’ – Tracy

Jd seattleParticipantMy apologies to the “mods”. Strangely enough the thread is again not showing up for me. I have checked thoroughly to make sure I’m not overlooking it. When I click the link to it posted above I get this message “page not found, error 404”.

JoBParticipantjd.. it is really easy to hit the ignore button without realizing it. i know this because i have done it before..
go into your member profile and check to make sure you haven’t inadvertently ignored someone..
likely me since i have posted on this so often;->
