General duties

As a cafe manager for Cupcake Royale you need to be able to work the floor 40-45 hours a week (leading by example is important to us). You will need to be able to manage your time, problem solve, possess a can-do attitude and most of all have FUN with your team! Café managers are responsible for cultivating a positive atmosphere that supports our core values. Ordering, inventory, scheduling and labor control are essential functions of the position. Supporting innovation and company changes are essential to us. Team work is necessary to get everything done .Properly delegating and developing your store assistant is also a vital part of your role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Hiring, training and ongoing supervision of all barista, customer service and froster staff

Development of Assistant manager for internal growth

Ensuring consistent & positive customer service

regularly working floor shifts and providing great customer service. (We are working managers)

Attending bi-weekly manager meetings, weekly 1:1’s with director of operations and daily check ins.

Working closely and cooperatively with Director of operations, bakery manager and office team to ensure a smooth operation.

Ensure proper staffing levels are meant to provide great customer service within the labor budget

preparing reports for the day/week, including labor control, waste control and sales.

Maintaining high standards of quality control using company tools and systems

overseeing cafe equipment maintenance and repair coordination.

Extensive knowledge of coffee and baking

Willing to help staff special events

Monthly inventory, daily ordering and 100% responsible for café financials

Additional Job Requirements:

3+ years of barista experience

2+ years of café management experience

Ability to effectively manage staff performance
