TheHouseMemberI’ve got a couple of concert posters that I would like to have framed, but can’t afford to shell out hundreds of dollars to do so.
I also don’t have the skills to do it myself because I am not artistic at all.
Any recommendations on where or who could help?

JanSParticipantdepending on the size of the poster, sometimes poster frames come in standard sizes…you just buy, put the poster in, et voila. Try the U-frame-it location at 3237 Calif. Ave. SW. Check the sales rack and sizes of pre-made frames…they might have something or could give you suggestions where to go.
I actually framed something myself once(not my forte, either) at NW Art and Frame, and while not terribly difficult, was a bit daunting, and the person helping me truly didn’t realize that I had no idea what he was talking about. He wasn’t very patient, and I never attempted to do it again.

JenVMemberwhere ever you get it done, be sure and have them use acid-free backing and UV protected glass, if it’s something you want to keep for awhile. I have a great Blues Traveler poster – the place where I got it framed went out of business years ago – but he was a rock and roll guy, and cared about making sure the frame job would last and keep the poster in pristine condition.

MeeganMemberI’ve gotten concerts posters framed for reasonable prices at Northwest Art and Frame, esp if you go with fairly simple black wood frames. Alternatively, I’ve had concert posters done at NWAF where they attach the poster to some kind of backerboard and laminate them (they end up kind of like a plaque). They end up pretty impervious to damage and look great. Those have run me between $50-75, and is my go to thing to do with concert posters now.
