mwmwParticipantI need to find a warm home for my beloved cats due to some personal difficulties. I have 3 of them and it really breaks my heart to write this, but if you know of any no kill shelter in the greater seattle area, or someone who’d adopt the cats, please drop me a line. I am willing to pay all the initial costs for adoption (cat litter and food etc) for the first month, and just would like to make sure they (or separately if needed) go to the good home.

hammerheadParticipantI am very sorry for your personal difficulties but please no there is no such thing as a “no kill”.
If a “no kill” is full and turn you away what are you to do? Especially if you are going through such a tough time and need to place them right away.
Also the local shelters are a GREAT resource. All local shelters have a great adoption programs.

amaliaParticipantHomeward Pet (Woodinville), Animal Talk Rescue (Seattle), Another Change (Des Moines), MEOW Cat (Kirkland) are some no-kills. I think Kitty Harbor right in West Sea is also no kill. Good luck. Maybe if you post some more info here, some kind person will adopt them.

lindaParticipantEchoing the sentiment to please contact Furry Faces as Mike said. I forwarded the link to this article to their email.

furryfacesParticipantHi mwmw, We did respond with some questions, and with that information are looking into some options/suggestions. We will be in touch in the near future.
Everyone–if you can give a home to one of these little fur balls, or know some who can, please contact mwmw.
Here is some info on the kitties:
1) What is the age, name and personality of each of your cats
TomTom, Male, Neutered, Age (told to be) around 12, I found him abandoned in a dumpster about 6 years ago and adopted him, Very cuddly, loves to be petted by people
Mimi, Female, Spayed, Age 8, Very well behaved and timid, but purrs a lot and likes sleeping and hanging out close to you.
Nana, Female, Spayed, Age 5, Extremely friendly, almost dog-like personality that everyone gets to like her.

mwmwParticipantThank you for the comment. I should’ve clarified that I didn’t hear back from them to my email, instead of mentioning ‘never’. My apologies for the confusing statement I made earlier. I’m sending the pics shortly, Thank you again.

mehud7Participantmwmw- The West Seattle Blog is a great way to get the word out about your cats needing new homes. It is also important to get them posted on Facebook as well as ask all of your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. Having them go directly from your home to a new one is going to be far less traumatic than having them in a cage at a shelter. Please also contact Friends of the Animals Foundation at info at fafseattle.org

mwmwParticipantI am posting an update here to thank and appreciate all the support I received through WSB. All of my kitties found a very sweet loving home and even 2 of 3 went together to a new owner. I received many kind advice, suggestions and information. Special thanks go to the Kitty Harbour and FurryFacesFoundation who helped out. It still hurts to think of my kitties but I am very glad they found good homes. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

mwmwParticipantDear all – old post but in case you are still following this thread. One of the kitties ended up coming back to live with us and recently peacefully left this world for heaven, surrounded by family members. He was very old, but I believe he had an amazing life thanks to your help as he spent the last 10 months with a wonderful owner. Thank you for your support again. I am sure he’s crossing the rainbow bridge having fun with other furry friends now.

miwsParticipantCondolences to you and your Family, mwmw.
Glad you were able to have more time with your Kitty. <3
