infoseekerMemberHey guys, I’m looking to make my own perfect museli mix from bulk bins. I’m trying to come up with one with a good protein-to-calories ratio that still tastes good. Unfortunately I’m not really sure where the biggest or the cheapest bulk bins are around here. I know there are some at the Thriftway on California, but it isn’t quite as large as I’d hope. How would you rank the PCC a few miles up the street?

MagpieParticipantI love the bulk bins at PCC. I only buy bulk herbs and spices and they have all the calorie counts, etc on each bin for each product. You also have a choice of organic or not for many products. Fred Meyer in Burien has some pretty good bulk bins, too.

Bikefor1MemberIf you’re ever in the area, you should visit Winco Foods off 167 in Kent. They have a huge bulk bin dept.

JanSParticipantI second PCC…their prices for the organic steel cut oats, org. thick cut oat flakes, for the variety..everything is great…and the best cinnamon around…it’s not organic, but it’s super sweet- Korintje cinnamon…and super cheap :)

RainyDay1235MemberMy vegan/raw friend has to get quite a bit of bin/bulk items to help subsidize her diet (proteins etc). She too swears by Fred Meyer for the best selection and lowest prices.
