JacksMomMemberAffordable Plumbing of West Seattle 206-931-3365. Ever want to send your plumber on a cruise with the money, time, stress and mess of another (soon to be named in rants)West Seattle plumber? Tom and his crew saved me over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS with a cleaner (yes to code) tie into my drain system on the other side of the wall. This is after that other West Seattle Plumber had 3 different visits over a one month time frame, for the same problem that they didn’t fix (installing a NOT to code) air flow thing and paying them $650. Their final proposal is a pathetic cumbersome tie in… to add a standing sink next to the washer to slow the draining and hook into the bathroom fixtures on the other side of the wall. When in fact Tom and his crew knew that with the age of the house (12 years) size and number of bathrooms that the main drain pipe was also on the other side of the wall! He charged less than I had already paid for a permanent fix! Shame on you (soon to be named in rants after Angie who recommended this West Seattle plumber) finishes mediation and hopefully pulls their listing and places them in the penalty box!

snglemomMember@JacksMom – I have to agree with you post. I contacted Tom with Affordable Plumbing for a drain pipe that had broke in my front yard. After getting numerous qoutes from other plumbers I was over my head. When I contacted Tom (the owner), he came out personally and gave me a qoute on how much repairs would be, including the landscapping that had to be dug up and repaired. All together he saved me close to $3,000!!!!! Yes – $3,000! His work and the crew that he has working for him were PHENOMINAL! I will never go with another plumber and have already recommended Affordable plumbing to ALL my friends and family! If anyone needs a good plumber, please call Tom with Affordable Plumbing at 206-931-3365! Don’t even bother shoppping around, it’ll be a waste of your time. I’m sure JacksMom would agree.

revgMemberPosted this in another thread, but another yes vote for Affordable Plumbing. Tom was quick to respond, and managed to do the job without costing me over the $8000-$10000 it would’ve cost for a brand new sewer line. He did the job for what he quoted, even with running into more than a few unplanned difficulties in the middle.
Great guy, great company.

luckschangedMemberAfter reading the recommendations here I didn’t even bother calling other companies. I called Tom of Affordable Plumbing of West Seattle to replace the broken water main that was flooding my front yard. He gave me a very reasonable estimate that included replacing the landscaping that had to be dug up. He has a knowledge of and love for the old homes in WS and treats the homes and customers with the most respect. The team that he supervises were just as knowledgeable, careful and respectful. With a 100 y/o house I know I’ll need plumbing issues fixed again and I won’t call anyone but Affordable Plumbing of WS!
