Not sure if it is really Valor but the remote control for my gas fireplace says Valor on it. The remote or the receiver is acting odd and 25% of the time won’t turn the flames up, and 100% of the time won’t turn them down. I used the manual override luckily.

Anyone else have the same sort of issue? If I could just tell if it was the receiver or the remote, I’d buy it but can’t figure out which one is the issue. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    S

I Googled Valor and they’re still in business maybe look it up and give them a call to see if they can troubleshoot it for you?

Thanks L. Rain….good suggestion. I did this and they said to buy both parts new….somehow I don’t think that was as sound advice as it was to make money. OH well, will wait for someone that might have this same type of setup. Thanks!

Hi Susieq29, Contacr Sutter Home and Hearth. they are located in Seattle and are the retailer for Valor Gas fireplaces. They also do service calls.

Valor’s self modulating system uses less energy to produce a beautiful and realistic flame. Engineered to circulate air through natural convection, Valor gas fireplaces are highly efficient without a fan. Installing a Valor gas fireplace is a great investment for the value it adds to your home.
