The raccoon and squirrel population in my yard and the small greenbelt behind me is making me itch to get in some target practice with my RWS 850… Are pellet guns illegal in city limits? What if I deem the Raccoon family “Trespassers” and a danger to my household and well being?

Maybe I can hang a couple of them up in the backyard and scare their buddies away.

Nice…hopefully you can tell the difference between a cat, dog and raccoon? Make sure you look down the barrel of the gun first to make sure it’s clear of any obstructions.

Makin’ me roll my eyes a bit.

Very well versed with eyeing critters and handling firearms (powder and co2) thank you very much.

Then step it up a notch and use some M77 AP Scat Mine’s. Sounds like you are “very well versed” in using firearms but lacking knowledge on their legality within city limits.

    Maybe that’s why I asked?

You could always bring your cat over to play in my yard. We’ll see if I can tell the difference

thanks Jan. Now, is personal property considered a public place?

    (and really… a slingshot? c’mon.)

lol..well, there have been arguments about this particular code. For instance…if you buy the airgun/slingshot/whatever, are you indeed a criminal if you carry it to your car in a bag to take it home? But…it’s a starting point, and maybe there have been additions? Google has more info..like this :

Talking about doing something you know to be illegal is not ok here. Thanks for the flag. Thread closed.
