Has anyone else noticed there have been no street lights at California/Admiral since mid-July? A number of additional lights have been out headed north and south on Admiral for about a block too. I sent in a report to the city in early August. According to the initial response I received, someone stole the copper wiring powering about a dozen lights. It must be a difficult repair, because they just pushed the ETA for the repair out to the end of October!
I went to take my kiddos to the new Genesee school this weekend to play on the playground and let my oldest ride his bike but every gate was locked!? They were all open last weekend and we saw quite a few people coming and going with their kids.. doing the same thing. So I’m just curious… Can the public use the school playground during non school hours?? I’ve never had a problem at any other and we use to visit Schmitz park to do the same thing. It would also help make my older son more comfortable with the surroundings since he will most likely start there next year. Not to mention all of us paying our property taxes, etc. for this new school.
