I know that Target has a few preemie things. You can normally find them in the clothes section that is near all the other baby stuff (not in the big area with clothes, there is a smaller one that has layette sets and that sort of thing). The selection is not huge but you should be able to pick out a few things. A friend of mine had a baby in May that was about 6lbs and she fit in preemie clothes for a good month and a half-two months. And she wasnt even a preemie just a super petite baby!
Also I second stocking the family with freezer meals. Its so overwhelming taking care of a newborn and I cant even imagine the stress of having a little one in NICU.
