Seattle Dive Tours and SR3 are organizing and volunteering on an underwater and beach cleanup at Seacrest Park on April 16 7 AM-2 PM. This effort is in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, King County Water Taxi and Marination Ma Kai.

This clean up has not been able to run since 2019 and on that event 500-600 pounds of marine debris was removed from our water.

16-20 divers plus Seattle Dive Tours staff will be retrieving marine debris from the area and bringing up for appropriate disposal. 40 shore volunteers plus SR3 staff will be sorting and weighing the debris so that it can be appropriately recorded with marine scientists around the world.

Volunteers will also be providing buckets, bags and grabbers to do beach clean up along Alki Trail.

DoughJoy West Seattle will be providing doughnuts for the volunteers (at the Seattle Dive Tours tent). We recommend pairing doughnut with a coffee from Unwind Cafe!
