The Master of the Mighty Wurlitzer returns for another silent film adventure. This time it’s Rin-Tin-Tin in “Clash of the Wolves,” a 1925 classic, co-starring Charles Farrell.
“Clash of the Wolves” was Rinty’s seventh film, and the first in which he was directed to show a lighter side. As is his practice, Dennis has put together an original score for the film, assembling actual period-published silent film compositions, and using those typical of the sort used by theatre organists in the 1920s.
Every time Dennis visits Kenyon Hall, I’m reminded of what a privilege it is to experience his remarkable playing. And after each performance, I remind him that he’s a true genius.
