Head over to the Log House Museum from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 14th to learn about the native greenery of the Duwamish peninsula, and have the chance to plant your very own seedling!
This event will allow children and families the opportunity to move through three plant-centric stations, rounding out with a scavenger hunt that utilizes the museum’s native plant garden! Please arrive at 11:00 am in order to participate in each station. Registration is required per participant. Limited spots available. Register here.

Make Your Own Seed Bombs: While Seattle has lots of green space, there is need for more native greenery in the city. By using just clay and seeds, become a native plant advocate and spread helpful plant species around your community!

Seedling Station: Start your own native plant garden by planting seeds indigenous to the Duwamish Peninsula! Take your newly planted seeds home with you in a small pot and watch them grow!

Plant Stamps: Use leaves from plants found right here in West Seattle to create your own pieces of artwork. Paint your own bold, natural stamps and create a statement piece to hang on your wall (or fridge).

This program is made possible by the support of our sponsors Luna Park Cafe, Alki Beach Academy, HomeStreet Bank, and 4Culture.
