On November 18th & 19th, the brand new concert film from Mumford & Sons, Live From South Africa: Dust And Thunder, will screen EXCLUSIVELY IN SEATTLE at West Seattle’s, Admiral theater. Filmed live on tour with 50,000 ecstatic fans in Pretoria, South Africa, their spectacular performance was shot in Ultra HD and is presented in stunning surround sound.

Set in the magnificent beauty of the Pretorian outback, Dust And Thunder documents the meeting of a British band in huge demand with a country extremely excited to welcome them. Having never previously toured there, the band originally intended to announce only a handful of small shows, in association with Gentlemen of the Road – 85,000 ticket sales later and they were embarking on more than just a little adventure. Overnight it had become a full-blown phenomenon and it was all hands on deck to prepare the venue for the swelling crowd. Dust And Thunder gets to the very heart of this band’s very special connection with their fans.

Directed by celebrated British director Dick Carruthers, whose acclaimed work with the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Oasis (the double BAFTA nominated There & Then) has placed him as one of the world’s best live cinematographers, Dust And Thunder is a truly spectacular concert film that may well go down as Mumford & Sons’ finest.

Showtimes for 18th & 19th will be 11:00 pm

Tickets are $15.00 and will be available the day of the show at our box office.

Running time 93 minutes

Mumford & Sons: “This was one of the most exciting shows we played on the Wilder Mind tour. We had just spent the preceding couple of days in a studio in Johannesburg with Baaba Maal, The Very Best and Beatenberg so we couldn’t help but get everyone out on stage to play a few of the songs we’d just written.

“It was also our first time playing in South Africa and we never could have anticipated such a welcome. This show marks a really exciting time in the journey we have taken as band. A journey fuelled by a desire to explore the world and the connection between the communities of musicians who continue to make it feel like a smaller and smaller place.”

While in South Africa, the band spent two days and nights writing and recording entirely new material with some close musical friends – Baaba Maal, Mamadou Sarr, The Very Best and Beatenberg (recordings that would later become their acclaimed Johannesburg mini-album, released globally this June) – some of which are performed in the live film with those friends, along with songs from their most recent album Wilder Mind and of course, the old favourites.
