Closing day for Jefferson Square Starbucks

sbuxjefferson.jpgWhen we got the first tips last month that November 7th would be the long-anticipated closing day for the Jefferson Square Starbucks, company PR would only confirm “end of October” — but we just stopped in to check, and today is indeed its final day. 7 pm, doors close, leaving West Seattle with Alki, Admiral, Triangle, Morgan Junction, Westwood Village Starbucks (not counting the supermarket/bookstore stands). The Jefferson Square SBUX closes two days short of what would have been its first anniversary.

Can’t wait for that Starbucks to close – my SBUX stock is going to go through the roof then! /Sarcasm

They should close the drive thru on Faunt/Harbor/35th. 3 new condo projects being built within a block and you close that shop? New math?

I’ve said this one in comments on previous reports but I’ll say it again: I would almost lay money on a Starbucks turning up in one of the forthcoming Junction/Triangle developments. Probably streetfront so it’s more obvious/intuitive to foot traffic, unlike J-Square.

+1 on the good riddance to this store! Terrible management!

i just don’t like drive-throughs in general, so i am not partial to the drive-through that lives on, especially given that that lot is a logistical nightmare to navigate.

this wasn’t a well-managed store, though, which seems to be the common thread through the stores that are closing. though the in-store Safeway one isn’t really all that Starbucks (it’s a licensed location) and closes too early (as do all the in-store locations), it’s pretty gosh darn good and they pull a good shot, but all things being equal it’s no Hotwire or Java Bean.

Sorry, comment time is over.
