WEST SEATTLE WEATHER: Heat Advisory alert for next three days, but …

(This morning’s moonset, photographed by Theresa Arbow-O’Connor)

Though the National Weather Service includes all of Seattle in a regional Heat Advisory alert for Sunday afternoon through Tuesday night, it’s looking like we won’t be all that sizzly. The alert says 90s are possible in parts of the region; the West Seattle-specific forecast, however, has highs in the low 80s all three days.

SUNDAY NIGHT NOTE: So much for the forecast … today’s official high was 88 degrees.

Maybe that’s why idiots are setting off fireworks because there’s brains are freaking fried

Speaking of idiots, there was a professional-grade fireworks display last night at 12:15 AM just east of Arbor Heights that shook the area for several minutes. Most of our neighbors and people out walking their dogs were watching in disbelief.

Now you are my kind of people.  I like 65-68 if it is sunny and can tolerate low 70s if it is cloudy.  Bring on the Fall please.

Stop freaking out over a little sun, its good for the joints and your mood.  You have plenty of time to pickle in the months of mist and drizzle.

  • Scarlett August 10, 2025 (11:13 am)

Love the sun, bring it on.   High 70’s to low 80’s is perfect for me.   I’ve got all fall and winter to pickle in the rain.

      Scarlett, I’m with you! ☀️😎

And tourists flock to Seattle from all over the Country for our nice summer weather, nothing wrong with the 80’s and low 90’s compared to what other parts of the Country experience!  Stop whining and enjoy the nice weather we are having, we pay a price for it during the winter.

    • k August 11, 2025 (9:13 am)

I thought the tourism part was where we paid the price, and the winter is when we get a break to enjoy the nice weather.

Sorry, comment time is over.
