Steve says that Kia Soul with a missing window and damaged ignition – almost indisputable signs of a stolen car – turned up near 36th/Barton today. It’s been reported to police.

    Yes, my son’s car. He is out of town and so am I. Hopefully it will be towed to impound. Theft was reported to police on 12/25.

    Sara you’ll be charged daily for impound fees. Can you have a tow truck tow it home instead?

      Insurance should pay to have it towed to a repair shop. I’d start with them. They can also arrange transport. I definitely wouldn’t let it get to impound. It’s roughly $350 for the tow and probably $100/day for storage.

        It should be noted that Steve says tonight, the car is gone. Whether police recovered it or the thieves came back for it, unknown.

          Hopefully one of her son’s buddy’s came and got it.
