Lots of boats around Alki and at Don Armeni this morning. Safe to assume fishing season starting?

It is the Ling Cod opener on the sound

Thanks, someone sent a photo but I won’t have time to look at the WDFW site for another hour or so, it’s hard to navigate so that hrlps!

Just a note that the sdot bridges X account no longer updates for the Spokane street bridge and hasn’t since the work began, and the indicator on Delridge also doesn’t work, so there’s no way to find out in advance when the bridge is open.

Yeah, I noticed that and am checking.

So is delridge down to two lanes during the entire 12 month duration of the project?

    • WSB May 1, 2024 (1:13 pm)

      Yes, according to SDOT.

If you really think about,  in the spot it is two lanes already. Just no turn lane heading south.

That’s a good point Derp.  I think the back up is due to the re-programming of the light at Oregon, to accommodate the  southbound (SB) travel (northbound (NB) and SB Delridge can’t have greens at the same time, to allow for both straight and left turns going ).  I was once first at the light, heading SB, and watched an interesting sequence of lights.  The cars coming from Oregon had their green, then the NB travel had their green, and then the Oregon/ WB travel got a green again, and then the SB Delridge got the green/ green left turn arrow.  Not sure if that is how it always operates, or if it was a glitch.

Sorry, comment time is over.
