The house is off of Hallmark Avenue SW, per KOMO news.

    • WSB April 4, 2024 (5:46 pm)

That would be incorrect. Trust your local news, not some downtown folks. There is no such thing as “Hallmark Avenue,” and this is most definitely on HALLECK.

Actually, there was 1 adult and 1 child on the bottom floor. Neighbor notified them of the fire and they were able to get out safely.

I’m a few houses down and despite the heavy SFD presence, didn’t smell any smoke, when I went out to investigate what was going on. Is that normal?!

I have to say this. If it was my house on fire …..SFD please come as you did, in full force, protecting lives and property, then downsize as you professionals decide. I could see flames starting to come out of their roof. Due to the neighbors quickly calling 911 is the reason you didn’t smell the smoke- SFD came quickly and put it out!!  Thanks for the quick attention, neighbors were able to get out of the house. I personally went down to give the little boy some snacks and to see if they needed anything. I’m always blown away by citizens questioning SFDs full force arrival!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

        Ditto.

I wasn’t questioning the response itself; I was questioning not smelling any smoke, despite the response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A BIG thank you to the SFD. The lower half of this unit is where my pregnant daughter, grandson, and son in law live. Well, now lived. Thankfully everyone got out, including all animals. Now the hunt for a new place to live, that is affordable (haha), will begin!

Was it knob and tube wiring?

Sorry, comment time is over.
