It’s time to take bike theft seriously.  As a victim of a theft a couple of summers ago, its frustrating seeing little being done to catch the thief. The City wants people to ride bikes, with electric bikes becoming more prevalent and costing the same as a used car, its time to treat bike theft with aggressive policing and prosecution.  Bikes are a transportation vehicle like a car for many people, and its time to make bike theft not pay!

I just saw Santa Clause heading east on 35th and Roxbury peddling a bike and pulling a trailer full of at least 15 or more bikes wearing a red hoodie. He had to of dropped em close cause within 20 minutes he was headed back on foot in the same direction he original came. Probably spooked by the Grinch who was quick on his tail.It was definitely the strangest thing I have seen in a long time.

What’s better than detering a theft? Catching a thief. :) See GPS Trackers: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=71548… alsoThe San Diego-based XYO Network

Don’t waste your money on gps or rfid devices yet.  The tech is just not accurate enough to assist you.  Learn how to lock you bike properly.  Register your bike with Project 529.  Report your bike if it gets stolen.  The more expensive the lock the more time you have away from your bike, but no lock is going to protect locking your bike in a bad area, or for a long time.

Sept. 18 : The guy in the hat crossed Alki Ave SW from 57th on a light blue mountain bike and rolling the white road bike that the bald guy is working on, along with him. 30 seconds later the bald guy rode by on the bike the guy in the hat is on. The bald guy was carrying the black bag (on the bench) in his right arm and yelling for the other guy. The blue mountain bike was ditched on the concrete stairs leading down to the beach.
