First Saturday of November is a busy one! Here are highlights from the WSB West Seattle Event Calendar, morning through night:
C & P COFFEE’S HOLIDAY ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR: First bazaar/arts-crafts fair of the season in West Seattle! One day only at C & P Coffee Company (WSB sponsor), 8 am-2 pm. (5612 California SW)
GREEN SEATTLE DAY: 9 am-noon, tree-planting work parties in some of our area’s most precious green spaces. If you want to show up and volunteer, looks like two West Seattle areas still need more help – Westcrest Park (info and directions here) and Me-Kwa-Mooks (info and directions here).
HELP BUILD SANISLO’S LEARNING GARDEN: 9 am-noon, join your neighbors in building the new Learning Garden at Sanislo Elementary on Puget Ridge – details in our preview. (1812 SW Myrtle)
TILDEN SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE: 10 am-noon, independent K-5 Tilden School (WSB sponsor) welcomes prospective families to come visit this morning. (4105 California SW)
DELRIDGE GROCERY CO-OP ANNUAL MEETING: 10 am-noon at South Seattle College (WSB sponsor) in University Building room 100: “We’ll discuss the status of the co-op and celebrate all we have accomplished over the last year.” Park in the north lot. Directions here. (6000 16th SW)
SOUTH PARK RESOURCE FAIR: 10 am-2 pm at South Park Community Center:
We have 16 City Departments who will be there sharing program information, funding opportunities, and discount programs. The Mobile Customer Service Center will be parked out front and there will be trainings offered all day on: Personal Safety, 911, and Tenants Rights. Come for an hour or stay the whole time! Be one of the first in the door to receive a free tote bag. Child care, light refreshments, and interpretation provided in Spanish and Vietnamese.

FIRE STATION 32 OPEN HOUSE: 11 am-1 pm, your chance to get up close and personal with West Seattle’s new fire station in The Triangle. Also meet artist Sean Orlando, who created the unique public artwork on the station’s side! (3715 SW Alaska)
