Motorcycle rider to hospital after Seaview collision

A motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital by private ambulance after a collision about half an hour ago in the Seaview area. Authorities cleared the scene quickly; a witness says the rider was headed southbound on 48th SW and hit by a driver headed east on Juneau. That’s all we could find out; private ambulance indicates the injuries weren’t life-threatening.

I hope the rider and driver are okay. I was driving by after first responders were on the scene. Thank you to the neighbors & passersby who assisted. It must have been frightening for those involved.

It was!  The police interviewed me since I witnessed the accident. Sending great and postive thoughts to the strong accident victim. And thanks to the driver her hit her and stayed even though her 5 year old daughter was in the car. Prayers for all!

@ajwren….”And thanks to the driver her hit her and stayed even though her 5 year old daughter was in the car” I don’t understand your comment, “thank you” for staying at the scene, anytime you are involved in an accident and someone has been hurt whether your fault or not you should stay until police have arrived???

Especially when someone hits a motorcyclist since usually they get really messed up and the car driver not at all.

Sorry, comment time is over.
