West Seattle ferry update: Fauntleroy-Vashon-Southworth back to 3 boats

3:38 PM: Washington State Ferries says the Fauntleroy-Vashon-Southworth route is now on a two-boat schedule because M/V Klahowya is out for repairs – compounding the challenges of thick fog and heavy holiday traffic. We’ll update if/when this changes.

8:59 PM: Back to three boats.

Might go off the south end of the island

Three boat wait on the island tonight
Weekday schedule so this time of night only two boats are run…

Should have gone off the south end no wait

Thanks for the updates, KC! Sorry to hear about the wait. And I’m sure fog is still a factor … while it’s relatively clear up here over Lincoln Park, I’m still hearing the foghorns from the ferries (and any other passing boats) … TR

Crazy – use 3 boats to get us there, then down to 2 on the way home – huge back ups at all 3 docks!
The line/wait coming home from Vashon was insane! Crazy that they waited until 8:59 to run the 3rd boat again.

That’s what happens when you chose to live on an island. Not a bad trade off!

Only that the cause was only one boat running after 9:00pm on a holiday… The managers of the state ferries once again prove they could not manage a kool aid stand. Great customer service!

Sorry, comment time is over.
