Will there be any sort of reporting or transcript from the community meeting with Marty McLaren? I emailed a list of questions about STEM to her and she wrote back, saying they wouldn’t know much until SPS appoints a principal. Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend a mid-week, mid-day meeting but would love to have access to any information she provides.

Ghar – at this point, barring breaking news, we plan to have someone at the meeting to take note of toplines about the STEM school or any other major issue that comes up. Won’t be a transcript, though. – TR

    Great! Thanks Tracy. Much appreciated!

Ghar, I also just got a copy of the letter the district is sending out today (as mentioned in our followup from yesterday). Publishing that as a new story in a couple minutes, before leaving the courthouse downtown. Busy morning. The informational meeting will be 7 pm February 15th at Schmitz Park Elementary, according to the letter.

So, should this be construed as a WSB endorsement of Occupy West Seattle?

    • WSB February 8, 2012 (11:12 am)

We report, we don’t endorse. If somebody announces a meeting or a food drive, we publish the notice. Have been doing that for four-plus years. There are dozens on the calendar page (https://westseattleblog.com/events ) and each morning we publish a highlights list. – TR
