Happening now: Pearl Jam CD release party @ Feedback Lounge

As the CD release party for Pearl Jam‘s “Live on Ten Legs” got going at Feedback Lounge (WSB sponsor) less than an hour ago, it was so wall-to-wall, we barely had room to get Shawnte, Mollie, and Melissa to pose with their newly purchased copies of the CD and vinyl versions. Easy Street Records is there selling the album, Ten Club is there selling merchandise, and The Feedback has on-loan rare PJ memorabilia on display (in addition to their existing collection):

We’re told the party continues the rest of the night. Or till closing, whichever comes first. Next special event, Fiasco plays live, as a benefit for a nonprofit helping multiple-sclerosis patients, January 29th.

So is Pearl Jam actually there, or are Feedback Lounge and Easy Street just independently celebrating the release of the record?

I’ve always found it strange when places hold record release shows without the band participating in the festivities. Maybe it’s just me.

Derek, if they’re there, they’re incognito. This is a Feedback/Easy Street celebration/sales event – music and book stores often have parties to celebrate new releases, and Easy Street partnered with Feedback for this one instead of having it at the store in The Junction.

    Um. No.

    Nobody of note appeared.

A lot of drunk people hoping for something that was nothing but a silly marketing ploy.

That was a fun night! My first time at the Feedback Lounge, and definitely not my last. No PJ band member sightings, but sure saw lots of friends there! Thanks to Wes for the photo, and thanks to Jeff Gilbert for hosting!

Sorry, comment time is over.
